I’m leaving on Thursday morning with my Love and heading to Girona, Spain. And we will spend the weekend there celebrating our best friends 3 day wedding. And on Monday we take the train to Barcelona to then head over to Ibiza for a week. How NICE!?? I’m so excited.. Here comes some inspiration for the week to come.
Yesterday was spent walking around in Hampstead and on Hampstead Heath with my Love. We checked out cool shops, went book hunting for our spain holiday in less than two weeks, bought amazing food at a local food market, ran away from the rain and stopped to have some locally made cider and the Cider and Ale house. Perfect day that ended in front of an amazing French film called The Choir. Very touching and beautiful. Perfect to watch a rainy Sunday night while eating food from your local food market..
Yesterday was super nice! Moa and I found a place which served wine, steak and cheese for lunch. Sat there for about 5 hours and just chatted away, saw people come and go and even got a glass free from the owner. This is one of the things I love about London. That it is 1pm on a Saturday, and there is nothing wrong with ordering in a bottle of red, eating cheese board and steak and fries. Sometimes that is just what you need, spend a day with a best friend just letting the hours pass.
Morning! What a nice chilled relaxed morning I’ve had. Matthew left around 8 to go cycling. I stayed in bed, eating breakfast and sleeping a bit more. Just about to leave the house now, jumping on my bike and heading towards Angel. Meeting Moa. And later on a friends birthday. Perfect saturday I think
When I saw these photos from Vogue Japan I could not anything else but want the days to fly by until I land on Ibiza on the 27th of May. I love the little scarf in her hair. That will be my new look for the summer I think.. I would not mind her tan either. But have got myself that Institut Esthederm sun cream I have spoken about. So should get a healthy tan this summer.
I’m so pleased with my newly found discovery of the canal almost all the way to work. I leave my house and cycle through Victoria Park, I enter the canal walk and cycle all the way up to Angel, and then just through small streets until I get to Marylebone! No big roads at all! And I who have been cycling the most traffic thick roads in London for ages. This is both safe and much prettier. Cycling along the water for 20 min, with all the birds, trees and the silence… Perfect way to start my day!
When I moved to London, and during my first year here. I used to go out for a run every day before work. Which kept me focused, alert and looking good. I stop when my knee started to hurt. And I have not done if for 3 years now. But I have picked it up again, my morning routine. Today! This morning! I went for an interval lap around half Victoria Park at 6.30am. And it felt amazing! How I have missed it! Morning sun in my face, wet drops on the grass when stretching. But what I have changed, with regards to my knee, is how I do it. I do not run for 30 min non stop. I do intervals. Between every bench in the park I run. And at each bench I stop to do push ups, squats, abs, anything, and then run to the next! Which lets my knee rest in between. Oh very excited about my old new discovery!!
I know what I will be doing tomorrow morning! And 30 min is nothing of my time, that’s the time I usually snooze or read blogs and news in the morning in bed. And a morning work out works much better for me than evenings, as I want to do things in the evening, meet people, picnics, a glass of wine.. What works for you?
